Perfection?

You ever felt you've had one good week too many it starts to become mundane? Days fly past. Work's good- you're given credit for what you do and you're kept occupied with work; exactly how you'd envisioned it to be. On the other end of life, you're mixing with the right people; you're going places and meeting new people. Not to mention appeasing the old friends who go way back. On top of that, you're picking up new habits to keep yourself active and busy, and surprise, surprise, they're all transpiring nicely.

But somehow or other, you get bored of the whole routine. It's so mechanical, you sit down at the end of the day, evaluate what you've done and achieved, only to find PERFECT; well, maybe not perfect, but being on the right path; ain't so perfect after all.

You feel there's more to life than just what you're doing. That although time flies by and you seem to be doing pretty well in conducting a wholesome and balanced life, there's just something missing. That this is not just it. There must be more to it, is there not?

I think that's what staying too long in your comfort zone can do to you. Transform you into a robot. Turn you into a living slave. Hmm, which got me thinking of David's invitation, maybe I worry too much. A shot of exhilaration is probably what I need most, no?

I can almost hear him do a Lee Evans impersonation:
"Like fook you do, mate!"
