To broker a deal between us,
It came.
Twisted, charred metal.
It smelt.
Liberated by the shadows,
It faded.

Hey now, hey now,
It said.
With the swagger of a star of a far distant sailor.
It played.
Like an addictive alcoholic.
It mothered.

I was looking for another you.
It quivered.
The silver bells chimed blue,
It wept.
Cries to be loved by good souls.
It begged.
