This week was a rather good one with me going out more on my own for assignments. I can certainly get used to my current job though am just a trainee. On the other hand, I'm probably having it much easier compared to the more senior journalists because I'm just a trainee. Anyhow, I hope to enjoy my 3++ months here, and learn as much as I possibly can.

Btw, three of my articles saw print this week of which two were accompanied with my bylines. I know that bylines shouldn't be the fuss but when you're a 1st timer, and you see the letters of your name in bold fonts printed on the pages of a prominent newspaper, it's a sort of acknowledgement for one's efforts and that definitely gives you a boost to do better.

Story of the week

Some 'reporter' went to a shopping centre, saw hentai being played in some vcd shop, went back and wrote something stupid:

Anime=porn....

wtf....

If this is indeed the case, I must say that I'm shocked that the governement allowed the sorts of Naruto, Doraemon and the whole lot to be aired on our local tv stations. Freaking brainless the 'reporters' we have nowadays. And Khairy was talking about not making Malaysians look like fools.
